Fall weather has arrived in our corner of the midwest and we are thinking of all things pumpkin, bonfires, sweaters, and boots. But don’t stop there! Explore all that fall has to offer by grabbing some good books from the library and trying some fun activities.
I’ve hunted down some activities to go with fall themed books. Some of them are simple, some are more complex, all are based on a specific book. They are presented here by the book title and author. I’ve organized them into fall, halloween, and Thanksgiving categories.
Fall Themed Activities
- Autumn Leaves by Ken Robbins
- Red Leaf, Yellow Leaf by Lois Ehlert
- Leaf Man by Lois Ehlert
- The Magical Garden of Claude Monet by Laurence Anholt
- Seasons of Arnold’s Apple Tree by Gail Gibbons
- The Busy Little Squirrel by Nancy Tafuri
- Earl the Squirrel by Don Freeman
- Nuts to You by Lois Ehlert
- The Apple Pie That Papa Baked by Lauren Thompson
- Ten Apples Up On Top by Dr. Seuss
- Sophie’s Squash by Pat Zietlow Miller
Halloween Themed Activities
- The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything by Linda Williams
- Five Little Pumpkins by Dan Yaccarino
Thanksgiving Themed Activities
