About Lisa McKinney

Lisa’s been married to the love of her life for 11 years after being transplanted from the city life in Washington state to the farm life in Kentucky. They have two amazing boys (age 7 and 3) and are relishing the country life. She enjoys bringing some of her family’s farm adventures to life on her blog including posts about homeschooling, cooking, the farm and just life in general. She has a love for cooking, is a glitter junkie and a book hoarder/library stalker who dances around the kitchen to old movie musical soundtracks. The glass is absolutely half-full in her life and she thanks God for all the little things that He shares with her every day.

Lisa’s Quick Interview

What is your favorite book?

My favorite book is a tie between Anne of Green Gables and Pride and Prejudice…I love them both for totally different reasons and read them every single year.

What is your favorite book from childhood?

Mmm. I have the edition of “A Child’s Garden of Verses” by Robert Louis Stevenson that is BEAUTIFULLY illustrated. My parents were given it when I was born and I consider it a special treasure. My mom read it to me all the time when I was little.

What is your favorite thing about the library?

What’s NOT to love about the library?? Can I just move there? I love that there are old books begging to be remembered and new books waiting to be tried.
