Hi there! For the letter “R”, I chose to do a collection of my favorite books about Rockets! As a mom of a 6 year old boy, we are always reading books about space, astronauts, rocket ships, and planets! I hope this collection is out of this world!

Mad About Rockets, Stars, and Outer Space!

1. Mad About Rockets, Stars, and Outer Space! – This book is packed with fun facts sure to please any young astronomer! My favorite part of this book is the amazing, beautiful illustrations! It’s sure to fascinate your young reader!

Space Boy

2. Space Boy by Leo Landry – When the world becomes to noisy for young Nicholas, he decides to pack up and take a trip. In order to get some peace and quiet, Nicholas rockets off to the moon for a picnic. Will he enjoy his quiet time?

Rocket Town

3. Rocket Town by Bob Logan – This is such a fun story that follows an astronaut in his pickup truck with his companion, his dog. Each page has a very colorful illustration of each rocket ship they travel in-a school bus rocket, a shark rocket, and more!

On the Launch Pad

4. On the Launch Pad: A Counting Book About Rockets by Michael Dahl – This is a counting book that helps readers count down from twelve to one in anticipation of the rocket taking off. There are also hidden numbers on every page that the readers can search for!
