Kelly’s Quick Interview

What is your favorite book?

Currently, my favorite book is Gilead by Marilynne Robinson, a Pulitzer-Prize winner from 2005. The prose is breathtakingly beautiful, and Robinson understands the beauty of a simple life, well-lived.

What is your favorite book from childhood?

My favorite book from childhood – if the teenage years count as childhood – To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee. This book transcends all other books from my life because it’s a dear friend and companion, something very close to living and breathing.

What is your favorite thing about the library?

Um, the people who work at the library let you take home books for free. You even get to pick them out. What’s not to love about that?!
