There is a lot going on here at The Library Adventure! I would like to take a few minutes to tell you all about some exciting things I think you will like.
New Facebook Group!
One of the things I desired to create when I decided to create this blog was a sense of community. Libraries are a place where everyone is welcome. Librarians and library workers dedicate a lot of time to enhancing their communities. I wanted to bring that community online as well.
We do have a Facebook page, which I’d totally love for you to like. However, I was looking for something more interactive for you, our lovely readers. So I’d like to take introduce you to the new The Library Adventure Community Facebook group.
This is a place where you can discuss the new great reads you found at your local library, whether the book was better than the movie, and ask other library fans for suggestions on what to read after your current book abandons you with a shocking ending. Or to weigh in on the important things in life like, are dust jackets annoying or useful?
A to Z Challenge
Next month, the contributors and I have put together a fun project for you. We took the A to Z Challenge and for the month of April, you will enjoy Book Lists from A to Z. We have book lists for all ages, stages, and genres.
Our writers have worked hard to put together lists that you will love. Here are a few of the ones you can look forward to:
- Historical fiction for adults
- Poetry for kids
- Weather picture books
- Yucky chapter books
- Gardening books for adults
- Books for book clubs
Be sure to sign up for email updates so you don’t miss any of them!

Applications for New Contributors
We are excited to announce that we are opening up contributor applications! We have had a couple writers need to step down for various reasons, so we are looking to fill a few spots on the team.
I’d like to take a minute to brag about the contributing writers already on the team. They rock. They are such a blessing to me. Not only do they write the great posts you see here, they help me brainstorm for new ideas, and aren’t afraid to jump into some fun things like the A to Z Challenge with me next month.
You can check out the Contributor Application page to see what we are looking for and apply if you are interested in joining the team. If you know someone who you think would be a great fit for our team, please pass the word along to them!
