About Vicki Arnold

Vicki is married to her best friend, with whom she has four children ages 16, 14, 12, and 6. She is very thankful to God for His grace. She spends her days homeschooling, blogging, folding laundry and avoiding dishes. She enjoys reading, cooking, sewing, and not doing dishes. She likes to blog about it all at Simply Vicki. Well, not the dishes part.

She came up with the idea for The Library Adventure when trying to figure out how to add her love of the library into her current, overfull blogging schedule. As the idea grew, The Library Adventure was born. You can read more about that on the About The Library Adventure page.

Vicki’s Quick Interview

What is your favorite book?

I don’t really have a favorite book, per se. I have always loved reading, but don’t have much time for fiction these days. I tend to gravitate towards non-fiction books that help me learn about something I’m interested in. Those subjects range a bit and include homeschooling, gardening, blogging and social media, cooking, and sewing.

What is your favorite book from childhood?

There’s a Monster at the End of This Book was probably my absolute favorite book as a kid. My children do not seem to fully appreciate the splendor that is this book.

What is your favorite thing about the library?

I have long loved libraries. I blame my Mom. She has always been a voracious reader and we pretty much grew up in the library. When we outgrew our little library in town, she invested in a library card with the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County across state lines and the rest is history. We would spend hours just reading and browsing the books. I would still do that if my toddler could handle it (2019 update: He is now old enough, we regularly just hang out at the library! 🙌). The quiet is probably my favorite part of the library.
